The fate of the most loved game: PUBG
Let's talk about the first wave. Before the announcement of the ban, everyone was using these Chinese applications "freely".
I quoted word freely because I saw some people talking about supporting our Indian military and using TikTok. I personally disliked this short video platform application because there were so many cringes in there. There was so little amount of "content" comparing the cringe of the platform. No doubt some creators made some astonishing and wonderful videos but there was more darkness than light.
When I talk about the first wave of the ban, I personally enjoyed the TikTok ban. Many meme pages made memes and jokes about the TikTok ban. Every memer was happy when they came to know about the TikTok ban. I too made some memes like this.
Many other Chinese applications were banned like UC Browser, Xender and MI Community, etc. When I get to know first about the TikTok ban, I went to my friend's home. He knew already about the ban. We both didn't say a word to each other and smiled. Then I started singing "Belil chi Naagin nigali" and we danced over the song. That evening we enjoyed the TikTok ban like no one did.
Now, if I talk about this second wave of the ban, PUBG is on the radar. I played PUBG for a long time.
I stopped playing PUBG for one and a half month. But when this news about the PUBG ban I heard, I was like it's next to impossible. Right now, we are not sure if it is going to ban or not, but time will tell the fate of the game.PUBG is like an addiction. It is a very addictive game with fabulous graphics and powerful gameplay. Everyone liked this game so much including children. This game is most popular amongst the youth. Yeah, we know that games are relaxing and we should play them for relaxation. But this game had a tremendous effect on all of us.
- Once I heard the news of a teenage boy who killed his parents because they told him not to play this game.
- Another example is of a young boy who stole money from the credit card of his family to purchase the in-game benefits. These are some limits of the game.
- Let me give another example of myself, I was playing this game a night before my exam. The very next day, during my exam all I shouted in my mind was "Get to the safe zone" and "Enemies Ahead". These are some phrases used in the game. My head shouted these phrases during my whole exam. I took this as a joke but it was a serious matter. It leaves a deep effect on our minds.
Overall the game is nice and we can't say that it is entirely bad. Some of the guys are really earning money from this game. This is done by streaming their live game from their computers over Youtube.
By showing their skills they earn the money. Some of them are doing charity from those earned money which is really appreciable. Now in the second wave of the ban, the government has decided to ban those apps that are functioning as clones of the apps which were banned earlier. There are 47 apps on the radar and PUBG might get its turn in the third wave. The third wave might be comprised of those 275 apps that the government made a list of.
These 47 apps are selected based on the violation of national security and user privacy concerns. These Chinese applications are alleged to steal the user's data and submitted to the Chinese Government. This puts national security at the risk. So, the government had to take the decision to ban.
Now, if PUBG gets its turn and if it may get banned there will be a major loss to PUBG lovers.I have seen many players who played it the whole day during this lockdown period. Some of them said that they can't live without playing PUBG. So, if it gets banned there might be some sort of problem that will arise. But after all, this will be in the interest of all of us. So if the government bans these Chinese applications, I support the ban and advising you all to support it.
As of now, PUBG is available and all can play it. But no one knows the fate of the game excluding the government. So, play it until it's available and after then we have to switch over some new games for "relaxation".
Conclusion: The purpose of the whole article was not to tell about the ban of the application but to aware of the effect of the game on the minds of children. It adversely affected the physical and mental health of many children and young people. So, games are for relaxation and play it to be relaxed. "DON'T MAKE IT A HABIT."
