World Suicide Prevention Day
Hello everyone,
I have always wished to write something on the topic of suicide since when I started writing blogs. Today is the best day to write about it because it’s “World Suicide Prevention Day.”
Basically, one can define it as a fraud or deception to self. Suicide is not an option and should never be an option. Most of the suicides are just because of insignificant reasons which never makes sense. I have studied a survey and in most cases the reasons were insignificant.
According to a survey, a boy committed suicide because his father did not buy him a smartphone. His father was not capable of buying a smartphone and he did what? Instead of supporting his father, he committed suicide. I simply call these types of people coward and timid. He had an option to buy a smartphone by making his own money. There is no necessity of buying something from a father’s income every time. It’s a chance to prove yourself and you can proudly say that you have done hard work to buy that thing.
Another case I have studied and the reason was that mother scolded her and she hanged herself to the fan of her room. These types of steps never bring a solution but bring more problems to the ones they’re leaving behind. After someone commits suicides, the problems ends for them but their family and parents are lodged with much more problems than before.
Most suicidal cases occur because of relationships and love problems. A boy or girl in love commits suicide because of love failure or breakup. People committing suicide due to this reasons are really short-minded or maniacs, because they don’t think about their parents with whom they’ve spent 20 years and commits suicide for those with whom they’ve just spent 20 days or months.
Now, I am going to cite a verse from the Bible which talks about suicide:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
In this verse Bible says that, the life is a gift from God and no one have the right to end life with suicide. The life to everyone has given by making a sacrifice of God’s own son. So, this gift of God had paid a price and no one has the right to waste that life.
What Veda says about suicide:
"The Veda says that a soul committing suicide will fall in the hell called ‘Asurya’, which is totally filled by darkness."
The Veda explains suicide as equivalent to murdering someone. Because the body is given to the soul temporarily and it’s not permanent. The individual soul is responsible for the protection of that particular body. Ending the life is a sin according to Vedas which leads the soul into the hell with never-ending darkness.
In Islam, suicide has been forbidden and the Quran states that:
"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allaah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him."
[Soorah -Nisaa, Aayah 93]
So, killing or taking their own life is a sin according to the Quran so, Islam has forbidden the act of suicide.
Many argue that I do not have the reason to live or I am getting depressive thoughts to commit suicide. These all are just excuses. Just wake up, look upon the world and you will find how much you’re blessed.
I don't say that depression problems are not real and everyone experiencing them is fake. But, I certainly say that these problems are not so big which costs our life. No problem in the world is bigger than our life and anyone can fight the problems. So, running away from the problems and committing suicide are not the options anyone should look for.
Too much courage and daring are needed to commit suicide. Negatively using that courage always brings nothing but grief and mourn. But think, what if someone uses that courage and daring positively. They certainly solve the problem for which they were going to commit suicide. So, if someone has courage to do the suicide because of a particular problem that simply means that they have the ability to solve the problem using that courage in a positive way.
At the end I would like to cite a verse from the Quran:
“Allah does not burden a soul with more than it can bear.”
(Surah Baqarah 2: 286)
I have explained the fundamentals of not committing suicide based on religion instead of science because I thought that, this will have more impact on readers.
If you know someone who might be getting depressive thoughts or suicidal thoughts kindly share with them.
